You have no Andrew Hussie tag, sadly. :(
get off of there cat. you are not the Avatar. you are not even an airbender. the fire nation would have you under their thumb cat.
…I recognize this cat as the next Avatar, for after Korra there will be no need for a human avatar and the feuds between rivaling cat clans will be in need of a hero.
Long ago, the four cat breeds lived in harmony….
Then everything changed when the Manx Nation attacked.
Only the tabby, a mixture of all four breeds, could stop them. But when the world needed him most…he vanished.
One hundred years passed, and my internet friends and I discovered the new Tabby, a hairball bender named Mr. Fluffykins.
and although his hairball bending skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he’s ready to save anyone.
But I believe Mr. Fluffykins can save the world.
god
Sobbing.
get out of there cat. you do not belong in a thoracic cage. you are not lungs you are a cat.
I had spoken with a friend who theorized that Rory may possibly be insane because of what he went through as The Last Centurion guarding the Pandorica for the better part of 2 millenniums. Now, it was trollfodder on his part, but it makes me wonder what the effects of a human mind in a robotic body with only one purpose for such a span of time could be. This same friend also made the use of using Amy in The Girl Who Waited as a parallel to explain the crushing effects of loneliness on a human, but i don’t think it was a very good one considering how Amy was not only alone, but hunted near constantly in her 36 years, whereas Rory made no mention of ever being in consistent mortal danger. What are your opinions on this supposed loophole?
I think you both are probably a bit right. I think if Rory couldn’t “lock away” the memories of waiting 2000 years, he’d eventually go insane. Luckily, he can.
The loneliness would wear on you. But comparing it to Amy is a false analogy. Mainly because they are two entirely different people in two entirely different situations.
Now, if Rory were to lose Amy, we’d have a different scenario, I could easily see him going insane. Who wouldn’t? If he were to lose Amy, and it could be construed as The Doctor’s fault (even if The Doctor was just around), I think we’d have a supervillain on our hands.
